The day was rainy and gray, the leaves of the plants seemed greener, glossier and larger than usual, the sky merged into the the river and there was an earthy, wet smell. My brother suggested we went to this place where the grills, the Galetos and fish were recommended. They also serve other options such as homemade pasta. The bread is a delight: white, black, with seeds or without them and accompanied with alioli, wonderful!!! As the rain did not hold, we couldn't eat on the terrace so we chose a very good place beside a window overlooking the majestic Paraná in the dining room. We ordered pork rib grilled with a spicy sauce, potato tortilla with onion and two portions of vegetables which were really exquisite. A delivery service is available. For dessert, we decided to go to Cremolati to try their exquisite ice creams.
This Restaurant, Bar and Pizzeria is in one of the loveliest areas of the Coastal Monsignor Kermerer. It has a great terrace to eat pizzas, calzones, gourmet sandwiches, appetizers, breakfast or tea and delicious cakes, tasty ice cream and unch as well as dinner. Due to the strong heat of the day I preferred to go inside the room, where I discovered that besides the hall I saw from the outside, it was set in wood and cream leather with a big brightly lit bar, there were other smaller spaces in wood and copper leather walls almost completely devoid of pictures or other decorations and warm lights. I ordered from the a la carte menu and decided on a wok of chicken, veggies and homemade noodles with Thai sauce, Grilled pork with potatoes, water, sparkling water and red wine Cabernet Sauvignon Cave Fon. I was brought a big bowl with slices of homemade breads that were black and white, some with seeds, olives and almonds together with a cream cheese spread. I ate very well, the food was good, the service is great as well as the staff and I actually had a nice time. Really a highly recommended place.
A place to eat a tasty ice cream without lactose (especially for celiacs) or have a coffee with a croissant or frozen glasses sitting on a patio looking at the waterfront and at night with the pretty lights of Paraguay.
Establecimiento Las Marias is a farm where you can visit and observe the process of planting from start to finish that allows you to cultivate yerba mate. This farm is the largest yerba mate producer in the world. Here you get a chance to see it all happening in front of your eyes. This ranch has a lot of environmental concern, keeping a balance between wildlife and local flora. That there are species in their natural environment such as caimans, capybaras, etc..
I knew the restaurant thanks to the driver who took me from the airport to the hotel, he said it was a good place to eat and had a big variety of options ... and he was correct. I tried the Surubí to the Garganta del Diablo, tasty, accompanied by a red wine. This cafe and bar is situated on the top floor, it is in a good place and conditioned with elements of vitro fusion. While it is open from morning and serves breakfast, it is a lot busier in the after noon but especially at night because it is a place where many young people come and meet. They have gourmet meals, sandwich, lunches, dinners and a well-stocked bar. The night we went to the cinema to see the film Sunstar "The Iron Lady" and we ate some delicious toasted ham and cheese accompanied by cold beer and flavored water and paid between 3 euros. Unfortunately I was no longer carrying the camera because the place was crowded. They accept all credit cards and have parking available.
Knowing that my brother would come 2 hours late and then walk around the terminal I went to this place I was recommended because it was open 24 hours a day and run by its owners, a whole family and some employees ve rotate shifts day and night. I ordered a coffee with milk with a toasted ham and cheese croissant with no salt, just sweet, and entertained myself flipping through the newspaper and watching the coming and going of people. A little later I ordered a chipa, which are some scones made with flour and various cheeses, which is very characteristic of the area, with a glass of orange juice and a bottle of mineral water, the cost was € 8.60. It is a place where many people pass by, they have homemade pies, cakes, desserts, burgers, sandwiches schnitzel or cutlets, salads, chips, pudding, etc.., All very fresh , good quality, great prices and very good service.
This restaurant is part of a structure called Space North and has different proposals in 1 place, but trying to find mobile or web pages of some places to visit or visited in Posadas, is something like mission impossible. We went here to eat something light in one of its 2 terraces. At night it was nice and the view of the waterfront is cute, but it has a hip lounge and is quite elegant inside with wooden tables that are polished round square single clear, upholstered chairs that are the color crème, a good bar, contemporary lamps of with many shapes and my brother said there was very good service from the gourmet kitchen. We ordered 2 bottles of beer and water with grapefruit, four cheese tart, a patty of beef and ham and cheese, a burger with french fries. While we waited we ordered cold beer and a bowl with pororó ( popcorn). The grill is for all types of meat and fish and ice cream are at the bottom of the garden as well as bathrooms for ladies and gentlemen. The service is good and fast and the cost for the 3 of us was 15 €. There is free WI FI and you can rent the place for events. At the top is the terrace of the pub Pepper's where you can go for a drink after work, and at night young people come together here to listen to music and chat.
This traditional confectionery of Posadas, located just off the 9 de Julio Plaza, is the place to wait for a friend, make business meetings, try one of their typical business lunches or just celebrate a birthday gathering with a tea, delicious sandwiches and cakes or have a nice little night with a few traditional drinks, pizzas, classic fries or a cold beer. The interior is nicely decorated in pastel colors, with a large bar, and wooden tables and chairs. There's an outside deck and while waiting for a friend I ordered my coffee with a warm homemade croissant and a bottle of sparkling water and only paid € 3.50. The place is nice, correct and gives prompt attention at reasonable prices from what I could see on the menu.
This bar is on the 2nd floor of the structure of the cross and is open from 10 am until 17 pm. Their menu is varied and has regional cuisine like mbeyú (corn starch cake), chipa (ball made of manioc flour, eggs and cheese or variety of cheese) and reviro (cake flour, eggs and salt-fat fried and accompanied, or not, with fried eggs) these are all from the source. We chose to eat on the terrace because the day was very sunny and there were many trees giving off fresh air, the closeness of the Parana River and the mountain streams. We ordered bruchetta with hydrated tomatoes and prosciutto sauce, mushrooms with wine sauce, 2 people ate a kind of scramble but made with pork, cassava and fried eggs and only one person preferred a toasted ham. It was accompanied with white wine, soft drinks and sparkling water. For dessert some had coffee and others a chocolate-nut pie that seemed to be fine by the faces of those who ate. As usual comments and between conversation, I forgot to photograph it. Staff was excellent and constantly attentive to our minimum requirements, all wore black pants, white shirts, aprons and black berets.
This cafe whose income is through the Shopping and Bolivar Street, where there is a terrace that is normally quite busy. At the cafe regulars go to have breakfast or a cold beer while reading the newspapers and talk about football or political news like everywhere else in the world. As I had my coffee jar with just a drop of milk and a croissant that was homemade I entertained myself looking at what I had bought for the women of the family at a local mall named "Isadora". When I finished I asked for the bill, which was 1.80 euros and I went to continue visiting the place. It is open during the normal shopping hours.
It was the first time we saw and, of course, ate chipitas or chipas. A kind of bun (in this case very small, hence the nickname) of bread stuffed with cheese. Like a mini round cheese empanada directly from the fire, and placed in a plastic bag to eat. They also have sweets (facturas in Argentina) and cakes, but we didn't try those, we had savouries every time we passed by. They are a very cheap snack in the event that you are between meals. We took them with us throughout the journey through Argentina and Brazil.
Great lomo - tenderloin. Decent bife dear chorizo. Average salads - same as every other restaurant I've tried here; tomatoes just don't have much flavour. nice place overall and good service, busy at lunchtime on Thursday.
