This restaurant is opposite the sea in the Palm Beach area. Like many locations in Aruba, their specialty is seafood, and they offer very good ceviche, shrimp cocktails, calamari, fresh fish wheels, fish fillets in sauce and a drink called Aruba Ariba; almost all places on the island sell it; it mixes several spirits in one glass. At night, the atmosphere becomes alive with various bars and clubs nearby, and people walk into the wee hours of the morning there.
For me recommendations that local people give me from any place that I visit are the best and this was not the exception.
On the other side of the island, far from the big and formal restaurants is Zeerovers located in Savaneta.
It is a fisherman's restaurant on the sea with a spectacular view. The menu is based on the catch of the day, the coolest you will get on the island.
In the menu you have fish and shrimp options plus side dishes.
It is not an a la carte restaurant, you arrive and choose the amount you want, the cost is by weight and you can only pay in cash (be aware). They have their recipe for preparation, just ask and you feel. Enjoy the atmosphere and the evening because the food you will love.
Spikes is a beautiful place located in Oranjestad. It is just a kilometer from the airport, right on the beach in the Surfside Marina. Its a delicious place that opens at dusk, and specializes in giving life and color to seafood. The delightful, house specialty is a dish consisting of fish, lobster, and shrimp. Before this, they usually give you a plate of snails and good wine. This, and the view of the sun setting into the sea, are the perfect complement to an evening in Aruba.
