Whitehaven Beach is one of my favorite places on Earth and I'm sure it always will be. The beach is on the Whitsunday Islands in Queensland, an area of which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The only way to get there is on a boat (whether private or charter if your choice) or a ferry from Hamilton Island. We're not just talking about a beach with pure white sand and turquoise waters...we're talking about a true wonder of nature, the world's largest living organism, the Great Barrier Reef! The sand on Whitehaven beach is basically quartz and it's so find that it seems to slip between your fingers. Don't miss it!
Surfers Paradise is one of the beaches of the Gold Coast. I recommend it for its long beach, waves for surfing, its glass skyscrapers on the beach and for the life that is found all along the small streets once night begins to arise. We also may come across some lifeguards. Further inland we find a number of channels through which small boats sail along small house with private piers along these channels. It is worth a visit to this area of the Gold Coast.
Cape Tribulation is a city in northern Australia, just over a hundred kilometers from the popular town of Cairns. The beaches here are so beautiful they seem to be from a movie. It is a beautiful area worth visiting.
The tour offers you the opportunity to hop on a plane for about 20 minutes and to fly over the island for about $70. I did not fesitate for a second and it paid off. Well, it was worth it. I think that was what I liked most was the tour of the island, and that I loved the return. Seeing the island as a whole from the air was very special. Viewing the straight 10O kilometers long beach was awesome. I highly recommend this trip if you go to the island.
Clifton Beach is one of the northern beaches of Cairns, the other two are Palm Cove and Trinity Beach, in the State of Queensland, Australia, and in the Coral Sea. Since there isn't a beach in Cairns, part of the tourism industry is moving north of the city, where you can find beaches, surrounded by palm trees and lush vegetation. It is easy to get there by bus from the center of Cairns. I recommend you go in the fall, since before it is forbidden to swim because there are lethal jellyfish that can kill you within minutes. There are signs that warn you of the times when they begin to emerge that also contain general recommendations. In the surrounding resort towns there are small beaches where you can find apartments, supermarkets, shops and restaurants.
The beach is Alma Bay on Magnetic Island, in the Coral Sea, Queensland, Australia. It is a tiny beach on this paradise island, very quiet and not overcrowded. In fact, when I went, was totally deserted. I recommend that you go after the summer, since before there is usually dangerous jellyfish, like all Australian beaches, and you can not swim. If you are keen on diving tours you can arrange trips to observe marine wildlife in this region or any of the island, and usually they are taking diving groups to Alma Bay. Very close to this beach hostels where you can stay for cheap prices. You can also access it in a minibus along the beach.
Rainbow Beach is on the east coast of Australia, about 260 km north of Brisbane, in Queensland. It is a very small town, and only has between 1000 and 1500 inhabitants throughout the year. The beach in this small town is one of the longest I've seen, at several km long, where you can practice sports such as kayaking, surfing or diving. In fact there are schools in the town where they train you and hire out the necessary equipment. Most of the tourists who come to this village go to the wonderful Fraser Island which is one of the few islands made wholly of sand dunes. Almost all tourists are backpackers and you can find several hostels in the area. From this village take the boat to go to the island. I did kayaking in this town and saw the dolphins that close-by. It is an experience I definitely recommend! There isn't much nightlife, so if you want a bit more of a party scene you should better go to a bigger town ...
Cairns is a beautiful city, and above all a party town with plenty of bars and clubs. But it's best known for its proximity to the Great Barrier Reef. It's a port city, ready to accommodate maritime traffic ... Unfortunately, its development involved the dredging of sediment, which has left some areas looking a little worse for the wear. However, the city has tried to recover by building a lagoon for children to swim and for people to escape the heat.
