Saint Malo Beach
Soft. Soft and wild at the same time. This is the beach of Saint Malo. We are in the northwest of France, in the Ille et Vilaine province, where if you jump, you emerge yourself in emerald water, and if you take another, you almost step onto England. But stick with just that first step. Enjoy the water (at zero degrees Celsius) and then step on the soft sand, which is very fine, to look at the blue horizon, to see yourself reflected in the wet ground, to see your shadow when the sun has gone down and is behind you. And now turn around. Turn your back to the sea, and in front of you you'll find a fortress dotted with towers that protect Saint Malo.

Plage de l'Eventail
The most curious thing about this beach is that there are huge wooden stakes lying all over with mussels growing on them. From the beach you can clearly see the National Fort which is accessible on foot at low tide (it´s privately owned but tour guides are available). From this fort located in Saint Malo near Mont Saint Michel, the views of the beach and the city are beautiful. This beach is also great for children because several kinds of shells and stones wash up during low tide.
