Volcanoes in Tosari
Mount Bromo
This is one of the most spectacular volcanoes on Java, but also one of the most touristy as it is very close to Bali. There are different types of trips and tours but the cheapest, and best for backpackers and people on a budget, is to spend a night in one of the small hotels near the volcano. The next day, very early, about six, head up to the last few houses by jeep, which is generally always included, and up to the lookout where the views are spectacular of both Bromo volcano and other mountains and volcanoes. Then head down to the starting point and continue the tour to Bromo volcano to visit the crater. The walk can be taxing but worth it, it is quite long but it's not steep. You should try to finish the course in rooms of 10 so you can return to the hotel to pick things up, have breakfast, shower and get to Probolinggo which is the usual link to continue any route after having seeing the volcano, either to return to Bali or continue visiting the island of Java.
Volcanoes in Lombok
Mount Rinjani
Something that diferentiates Lombok from the neighboring island of Bali, is that it's not as touristy. Its landscape is full of dense forests and stunning mountain areas. The ascent of Mount Rinjani is one of the excursions you can take to make your way through Lombok. There is an area that can be accessed by road, which although it's not very wide, there is not much traffic, which makes you more relaxed despite its height. Although you won't be able to get to the top because Mount Rinjani is 3726 meters high and is the second highest mountain in Indonesia, the landscape will leave you breathless, I guarantee it!
Volcanoes in Kintamani
Volcanoes in Yogyakarta
Merapi Volcano
This is the last volcano I that I climbed last year in August. Later that year, in December , it erupted, killing many people and burying much of the place. This volcano is 2911 meters high and is located near the second largest city in Indonesia, Yogyakarta. There are numerous companies that will take you up to climb the volcano, although it is a pretty tough trek of about 8 hours of climbing and about 5 going down. These climbs are mostly done at night, so you can see the sunrise at the top. at night to do the sunrise at the top. Today, I'm not sure how the thing has changed, but I continue to recommend it to everyone for the incredible views from the top, where the division of the Ring of Fire is.

Volcanoes in Ubud
Mt. Batur
Kintamani volcano and Danau volcano are beautiful, and are about 30 minutes to the north of Ubud. They have existed for about 30 thousand years, and provide spectacular views. The villagers here are very friendly, as they are throughout the island. You have to pay some policemen to enter the area, but it's an insignificant amount. Climbing the volcano to admire the sunrise is an amazing experience.
