The Villavicencio Hotel was built in 1940 and operated since then as a thermal center for the guests who arrived here from this town and abroad. The Hotel Villavicencio is closed since 1978 in which they held the World Cup in Argentina, having built one of the fields for that event in the city of Mendoza. Although not enabled it still has its beautiful facade, whose picture is printed since its inception in the label of a mineral water that takes the name of the place and even traded in Argentina. In 2001 the Government declared the area in which the hotel is located as a protected area. In this area we find natural resources of mineral water and it is said that with every drop of rain, or with each snowflake that falls from the Aconcagua peak 6959 meters above sea level, the birth of pure water in this region starts. The landscape surrounding the hotel is wonderful and the path you have to take to reach this region as well. Although it is not a hotel anymore, it is a place worth visiting.

The Hotel Almería, without splurging on luxuries, has everything you need to feel at home after spending the whole day out visiting San Rafael. The rooms are well heated and have plenty of hot water, which is essential on a cold winter´s day in Mendoza. The garage is not located in the same building, but it is closeby, at no more than 50 meters from the hotel. The breakfast is a self-service buffet, and attention from the staff is excellent. It was founded by a Spanish man from the region of Almeria, which shows in every corner of the hotel.
On this study trip to Mendoza, and like every 2nd year school course does every year, they stayed at this nice hotel with very comfortable rooms, restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, a pool for use in summer and a garden with comfortable tables and benches to enjoy the view and water. There is central heating and the rooms have private bathrooms. Set in a large park on the banks of the river Atuel, you can enjoy the bar-b-q's and very good games, for nature lovers there is a good collection of roses of different colors, especially the white contrasting with ochre from the late autumn trees, raised beds with small violas while some wisteria that had climbed into the trees filled the air with smells. On a very dark night, by leaning out the window we discovered a bright yellow moon. This Hotel has an office in the city of Mendoza situated at Hipólito Yrigoyen 723, the telephone number is +54 2627 439 070, where you can also make inquiries and bookings.
A hundred metres from the Plaza Independencia, this is a beautiful lodge where the staff are really dedicated to their customers when necessary (although they seem to prefer playing online games at other times). It has a good location near the centre, but far enough away to be quiet. From here, you can book tours to wineries in the region at attractive prices.
This hostel is located in the centre of Mendoza, and offers tranquility and comfort during your stay for 45 pesos a night. It has a small garden with hammocks, and a TV room with comfortable armchairs. It offers two computers with internet connection, and a wifi network if you've brought your laptop.
About 20 minutes walk from the Plaza Independencia, this is a small boutique hotel with a great emphasis on design. We were lucky enough to meet the owner, who normally lives in the US, and he told us how he likes to organise events, like small exhibitions of works by local artists, in the hotel. We saw an interesting exhibition of a Chilean artist who has spent many years living in Mendoza - a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
Soltigua Apart Hotel is an excellent choice for visiting Mendoza. Strategically located midway between the downtown area and the General San Martin park, it seems that everything is close while still being a peaceful place. There is ample parking for cars in the building's basement. The rooms are huge, ideal for accommodating winter sports equipment. Inside the rooms there is a conventional stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, tables, chairs and dishes, etc. In other words, everything needed to prepare and store your food. The breakfast buffet is served on the ground floor or you can request that it be served in the room. Also around the hotel there are lots of places that serve take-away or deliver, including the aforementioned buffet. One detail that could be improved is the heating, which is not consistent within a hotel of this calibre and should be complemented by electrical heaters. The attention from the staff is sober and efficient at all times.
This is a totally new concept for short term rentals, and an excellent choice for accommodation in downtown Mendoza. WINE, ART AND DESIGN: LIVE LIKE A LOCAL MENDOZAN! This is a boutique resort with only some exclusive apartments, emphasizing Architecture, Art, Design and Lighting. A real alternative to a conventional hotel. You stay in furnished, leased apartments with independence and flexibility. They are located just steps from Avenida San Martin and the pedestrian zone of Sarmiento at kilometer "zero" in the central Mendoza. It is a ultra contemporary design development fully equipped in every area, as well as in the Modigliani building, topped by an art gallery (Space Modigliani) which permanently exhibits works of art and combines these with wine tastings and live music.
A good trip starts in a hostel, especially for a backpacker like me, who likes to travel alone, but hates being alone all the time, the solution; a hostel. A hostel is always a good place to meet people from around the world, travelers like you, with your interests and tastes. And an unforgettable three days in Mendoza with mostly people who I met in this hostel. For me the best option is always a hostel close to the places I want to visit. It must be clean, and the atmosphere special. This hostel meets all these attributes, each night they do activities, which is a good way to socialize, and not forgetting the night of the barbecue organized by the hostel ... a long table with about 30 people from all over the world, staying together, and sharing life experiences. This is priceless. And how can I forget that night, that trip, that city. What I liked most about this hostel was the attitude of the staff, they never say no, and always help you and maintain that unity among those who pass by. If I return to Mendoza, I don't have to find another hostel, because this is it... called Itaka Hostel.

It was obvious, the thieves, you have information of the door men, the travelers and the clients, as well as their movement and their coming and going, and the things of value in their room. The city of Mendoza, Argentina has plenty of places to stay ranging from luxury five-star chains to small boutique hotels, inns, modest apartments, and everything in between. The Park Vendimia Suites are ideal for those who want the privacy of an apartment with the comfort of a hotel. Sometimes, the only difference between a hotel and the apartments is the kitchen where guests can make simple meal directly in the room. Others available apartments feature several bedrooms and even a living room. Most of the rooms at the Park Vendimia Suites are small, simple apartments with small dining rooms and the bare kitchen necessities. However, the hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool, breakfast service, wifi reception throughout the hotel, parking, and heating and air conditioning. Good, central location.
